— Morning activities with my 4-month-old 🍼✨ Comment “TOYS” for AJ’s favorites or find them linked on my LTK 🫶🏽 https://liketk.it/5LRfI As an eye doctor and a new mom, I’m very intentional about how AJ spends his wake windows — especially when it comes to visual development. High-contrast cards, tummy time, reaching + tracking toys… it’s play, but it’s also purpose 👀🧠 Babies learn through their eyes long before they can talk. These simple morning activities keep him engaged and give my sleep-deprived mama brain a little structure. #MomEra #MillennialMomLife #LifeLately #PresentOverPerfect #ThisSeasonOfLife

👶🦷 If your 4-month-old baby is drooling nonstop and constantly chewing on their fingers… It’s not random 💛 It’s one of the first signs that teething may be starting ✨ At this stage, it’s completely normal to see: • Increased drooling • Chewing on hands • More fussiness • Wanting to put everything in their mouth Their little body is preparing for something big 🥹 Tiny teeth are beginning to press against the gums, and chewing helps relieve that discomfort. 💛 How to support them: ✔️ Offer safe teethers (even better if slightly chilled) ✔️ Clean their little hands often ✔️ Gently wipe gums with a damp gauze ✔️ Extra patience and cuddles Remember: it’s not a “bad habit.” It’s development 🫶 💬 Comment “TEETH” if you want more baby development tips #teethingbaby #4monthsold #consciousparenting #firsttimemom #babydevelopment

💌 Save this, thank me later ⤵️ If you’re wondering how to actually play with your 4-month-old (without overthinking every wake window), this one’s for you. This is the stage where simple tummy time and black-and-white cards may start to feel less engaging. Rolling is on the horizon (or already happening), and sitting feels close enough that it’s tempting to rush it. Here are 6️⃣ play ideas for your 4-month-old to support their development: ⬆️ Pull to sitting Builds core strength, head control, and helps baby organize movement through midline - all important things for future sitting and rolling! 🪑 Supported sitting (Or prop sitting with a Boppy in front) Encourages trunk activation, visual exploration, and early balance reactions. 🔄 Rolling practice Rolling in and out of tummy time helps baby learn weight shifting, rotation, and how to move their body with intention. 🤍 Tummy time Any way you can! You can also try a ball if tummy time is hard. Strengthens the neck, shoulders, and back while setting the foundation for rolling and crawling. 🧸 Reaching & grabbing toys (and bringing them to their mouth) Builds coordination, midline play, and early oral exploration. This can be done in so many positions like on your lap or with baby on their back. BONUS (not shown) 👣 Finding their feet / feet-to-hands play This encourages core activation, body awareness, and helps prep baby for rolling! You don’t need to do all of these every day. Pick one or two to focus on during each wake window and let the rest of the time be connection & cuddles. Development happens through variety, not pressure 🤍 — Hi! 👋🏼 I’m Dr. Rachael — pediatric PT, infant development expert, and real-life mama of two. Why would I forward face a child early, who doesn’t know any better? My son was able to rear face until 1 month before turning 4 years old. And the only reason why he was turned was because baby #3 was on the way and he had to be moved to the third row. #extendedrearfacing #rearfacing #carseatsafety #unfilteredmotherhood

1 MILLION views 😍🙏 Thank you everyone for your love and support. 4-month-old is suddenly making loud like this type sounds while laughing and playing, don’t panic! It’s actually a sign of genius in the making. 🧠✨ At this stage, babies are: ✅ Discovering their volume (Testing how loud they can get!) ✅ Practicing for speech (Strengthening those tiny throat muscles) ✅ Starting a conversation (They want YOU to talk back!) So, next time they scream, scream back (softly!) and enjoy the chat. These “Happy Screams” are the best! 😍 Call to Action: Does your baby have a favorite ‘word’ yet? Tell me in the comments! 👇💬 #babymilestone #4monthsold #babyscream #parentingtips #newborncare
