LI✨New year…new headshots 📸🏔️❄️
✨I belong to an international photography challenge program called 52Frames, and each week I submit a photo (that I’ve taken that week) that fits the current theme/challenge. Each year their Week One Challenge is “Self Portrait”, which is great for me because it forces me to step in front of the camera. (Something I don’t typically enjoy, lol.)
✨I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone and went a bit dramatic on these shots. And I had a little fun playing with my editing, too. ☺️
✨Each week 52Frames also has an extra challenge, and with Self Portrait week the extra challenge was to use a remote shutter release. I did the extra challenge, and hopefully my film camera hid the little remote I held in my right hand.

ANLast weeks’s 52Frames challenge was to capture “Minimalism” and I actually got some inspiration from Aurora’s newest album cover for “What happened to the heart!”
I wanted something simple and feminine, that captures a big part of me. What I also love about this final image is that the hands look like the body, and the camera looks like the head; it’s almost like it’s a person in itself. #52frames #52frames_minimalism #behindthescenesphotography #hands #nikon
