5 Ways to Improve Your Stamina 📈🏃🏻‍♂️🔥 When it comes to improving your stamina a lot of it comes down to the basics of staying consistent over a long period of time whilst gradually progressing your training volume/intensity 📈 If you do the same routine every single week, same distance, same sessions, same route, progression will be limited, if not, non-existent 🤷🏻‍♂️ It’s up to you to add some variety and push yourself further if you’re looking to run for longer 🏃🏻‍♂️🧮 Running is similar to making a recipe for your favourite dish. Too much of the same ingredient and it becomes bland/stale whereas variety/creativity takes it to another level 🤩 Always think about how you can progress your training and benefit from progressive overload. 5k training is interesting, it’s not all about speed and it’s not all about endurance/strength - you really have to balance a mix of everything to pull of a good time! This is the exact reason I love training for the 5k, it really pushes your limits with lots of different training mechanisms. So this is why this workout helps so much. 3km warm up 3km @ LT1 (I aim for 3:45-3:35/km) 2:00 rest 2km @ LT1 (I aim for 3:45-3:35/km) 2:00 rest 5 x 400m @ 5k Pace (I aim for 3:00-3:05/km) 60s rest between reps 2:00 rest 5 x 200m HARD (I aim for 32-30s) 200m jog recovery #runnersofinstagram #instarunners #running #runningmotivation #5k

I start running in 2017 and get ervery year faster. 👌 1. Intervals 🔥 1. 8-10 x 400m @ 3:20-3:25/km pace. Rest: 90 seconds jog. Progress: Reduce rest to 60 seconds. 2. 10-15 x 1 Minute Fast (3:15)/ 1 Minute Slow 3. Classic 4-5x1000m @ 3:20-3:30/km pace 2. Tempo Run 🏆 4-8 km @ 3:40-3:50/km. Add 2 km easy warm-up & 1-2 km cool-down. 3. Progressive Long Run with Finish 👹 12-16 km total: First 10-12 km @ 4:30-5:00/km. Last 2-4 km @ 3:50-4:00/km. 4. Hill Sprints ⛰️ 10 x 150m uphill (6-8% incline). Full effort, jog back to recover. Add 2 km warm-up & cool-down.
