Some “practical” applications for the 7 segment display ••• Maybe it’s a dice that can be used while playing table top games. Or connect it to the internet and use it as a counter for your online store or social media following. Or of course, you put 4 of them together with the colon separator, add a real time clock module, and you have yourself a fully functioning clock. If you want to get really crazy, add a couple more modules, and you can actually track seconds as well. ••• All the files for this project (including some sample code to get you started with Arduino) are available on my website, or free for my Thangs members.
