RNPorsche should retake this ad with this boy
In 2006-2007 Porsche released a touching TV commercial for the new 997-generation 911 Carrera that quickly became a classic. A young schoolboy sits by the classroom window during a geography lesson when a silver 911 drives past outside. He gets completely distracted, ignores the teacher, and starts sketching the car on his notebook instead of paying attention.
As soon as class ends he grabs his bag and runs straight to the local Porsche dealership. There he climbs into the driver's seat of a 911 on the showroom floor, looks around in awe, then politely asks the salesman for his business card.
The boy hands back the card with a serious face and says he'll be back to buy the car in about 20 years. The ad closes with the tagline emphasizing how a Porsche stays a lifelong dream worth waiting for.
