HAWhen I went back to ACJC for my daughter's dance competition, it brought back all the memories of my very short 2 months there and why.
A month ago my mother in law actually made a comment wondering why I did not teach my daughter spelling( cause daddy's better at teaching so he took over) but she actually thought that it was because I did not do well in school because I did not go to university and chose to go to Poly instead.
For a season, I had many dreams that I went back to school because perhaps I wondered if I had made the right choices in life and it's so funny how God is bringing me back to studying again at the age of 38, to take 9 exams and to go to Singapore's "college of Insurance" for the purpose of bringing me back into the Financial Industry, while at the same time - propelling me into the Fashion Industry. 😱🤍
With exam season being over and results coming out, I just felt reminded to encourage anyone reading this that your grades and choices of schools will not define your future but God is the one that will direct your paths if you allow Him to Lead. Your Life has Purpose and Meaning and I pray that you will walk into the journey that God has called you to into, whatever that looks like, even if it looks different from the crowd. 🙏🤍
Good Grades (7 points in the end for me) gave me options but the choice I made was to study Mass Communications in @ngeeannpoly after the few months at ACJC. The notion at that time was that if you did not do well enough to go to a Junior College, then you had no choice but to go to a polytechnic, but I went against that current and today can safely say that I am so thankful for the experiences in the School of Life 🥹🙏
Life, with the Holy Spirit is an adventure. He teaches me all things and my prayer is that I lean not on my own understanding but in all things commit my ways to Him and He will direct my paths.
Wherever you end up studying or working today- May you be led into your divine purposes and spheres of influence and may you be a light in the darkness, in every atmosphere. 🙏🔥✨

AS“In days of yore…” Flashback to @acjc_official days on Saturday at #ACJC itself 🏫 to celebrate our Class of 2004 20th year reunion! So #thankful to reconnect with fellow #ACSians from our 2003-2004 batch, many of whom I haven’t physically seen literally 2 decades ago👨🏻🎓👩🏻🎓 It looked like we were all fresh out of Junior College days, still looking young! 😎 Love how we could laugh about specific memories at our #AlmaMater, some of which revolved around the track we were overlooking from the Viewing Gallery 😀
A highlight of any #AngloChineseSchool reunion is the singing of our school anthem 🎶, this time was no different 🫡 Knew there were going to be some of our teachers celebrating with us like Mr. @loomingyaw 🧑🏻🏫, but it was still a pleasant surprise to find our former Principal Mrs. Kelvyna Chan joining in too and leading the opening prayer 🙏🏻
4 hours flew by but many of us still had so much reminiscing to do by the end of the night 🥂 After all, we shared so many lovely memories together, some of us more than the 2 years here; I’ve known folks like Timothy Sun & @jinshenggg since 1993 as #ACPS classmates, and many other true blue ACSians who also went ACS(I) together 🙌🏻 Proud fellow SG1 classmates like @ettheawesome & @jiejiee showed up, as well as AC canoeists @winny_kang, Tim, & Yina 🛶 Our soccer player @lilnickie and dancer @wen2106 brought their cute son along whom I got to hold for a bit 👦🏻 Another AC couple @jonongmusic (my Primary 6 classmate) & @whatthechay mostly flew in from USA for this #alumni event, that’s commitment! 👏🏻
The #ACS #family is really special with its tight-knit bonds spanning generations and good vibes for each other 🤛🏻 Blessed to stay in contact with many of them since we left Dover Close 20 years ago!
Shoutout to organisers @toshiyukimori (became an AC teacher himself since 2018), @calebyap, & @melissa.fam for making this milestone happen 🫶🏻 Thanks @bernadette_giam for her awesome @shiokkitchensg F&B too! 😋
