If you’re clearing your throat or coughing after you eat, it’s often NOT excess acid. What’s actually happening 👇 • Low stomach acid (not high) • Food isn’t breaking down properly • Protein sits too long and ferments • Pressure builds and pushes contents upward (hello reflux) • Histamine + inflammation irritate your throat So your body does the only thing it can… It clears, coughs, and tries to protect your airway.
