Stop asking how long until you get your flexion back after ACL surgery‼️ You should be asking what can I do to get my flexion back And the answer is follow a proper plan and stick to it religiously! How quickly you get your flexion back will mainly depend on 2 factors initially What your flexion was like going in to surgery What surgeries have you had - e.g. a meniscus repair with limitation in range of motion for 6 weeks If you didn’t have full flexion, e.g. the ability to sit back on your heels prior to surgery then expect it will take a lot longer to do the same If you could and you have no post op range of motion restrictions then then the timeline will be down to your consistency and application of your flexion exercises I managed to sit back on my heels after 4 weeks (not pain/symptom free) For most people it’s on average between 8-12 weeks when consistently doing their exercises For some it can be much longer if they’re not consistent Getting full flexion back is tough In my opinion its one of the most uncomfortable things to regain but you have to be confident to gradually push to restore it There isnt a fancy exercise to do it beyond the ones shown in this reel As always do the basics well and consistently!
