SHApple has officially given up on Siri, yet they're winning the AI race by doing absolutely nothing. Apple is opening up Siri to plug in with any AI service through the App Store. They basically admitted that current Siri is trash and told the industry that you guys figure it out without spending a single dollar. So everyone rushes to build the best chatbot and at the end Apple takes their 30% cut.
Just look at this graph. Every big tech company is spending 50 to $100 billion in capex while Apple's graph is flat throughout the year just around $10 billion. And here in this graph you can see that Apple gets 8 to 9 times return of their investment while the entire industry's returns are going down due to the insane spend on AI.
And this has always been Tim Cook's playbook. No need for crazy innovation, just optimize the supply chain, focus on the strong points and keep printing money with high margins. Please share this around.
