Area BFE Beatdown 4600 Race day recap: -a few nerves off the starting line, but settled into a great pace as they got through the first little bit. -Front passenger tire blew about 15 minutes into the course and the guys completed at 7 minute tire change to get back on the course -front locker was trying to give up the ghost, so some of the obstacles they handled without problems during the pre-run required a few more attempts to get up and over -got into a great pace and really started to COOK -came down the obstacle that took them out the day before and handled it like a boss on the right line. -passed the finish line as the locker tried to quit again -started lap two, and the rear driveline u-joint left the chat -was able to secure a replacement part from Rory and started banging out a trail repair to get back on the course for a second lap -lost the wrench in the sand and timed out while looking for it 😭 It was a JOURNEY of a day, but Dustin and Preston didn't give up, despite all the setbacks and we are thrilled we were able to complete one lap! We all learned a LOT and are so proud of our little race XJ for taking an absolute BEATING, including a flop, and still getting on the race course for race day. Time to get Khaos home, work out some kinks, get new tires and wheels, and prep for the next one. Thank you to all our new friends in the race community who helped us figure out what we were doing and who never made us feel stupid for being rookies.
