Most unfinished novels don’t fail because of plot holes.🕳️ They fail because the writer never went deep enough.👩🏼‍💻 Before I let myself draft, I answer these: • What false belief is my protagonist living by? • What truth would destroy that belief? • What is the emotional cost of getting what they want? • What choice forces them to betray something? • What internal fear mirrors the external conflict? • What moment makes going back impossible? • If they refuse to change, what do they lose that actually matters? If I can’t answer these, I’m not outlining scenes yet.🙅🏼‍♀️ You can discover depth while drafting. But pretending depth will magically appear?
