It’s one of my favorite ways to get out of my head and into the world 🐌 - it can help soothe the nervous system: the cold water, the practice of listening to the waves and the scuttle of shore crabs, the act of breathing fresh air🫀 -it encourages mindfulness: moving slowly, watching closely, being fully present 🐚 - it sparks: the thrill of spotting a hidden nudibranch or a tiny crab 🦀 - it invites surprise: every tidepool is a tiny living world 🩵 -it engages the senses: the texture of kelp or barnacles, the smell of the sea 🌊 - it can deepen connection to the earth: seeing marine life up close is a reminder of nature’s incredible beauty & biodiversity 🐠 -it invites curiosity: that child-like wonder of discovering a new species or a beautiful shell🪼 -it teaches patience: in order to find these tiny creatures, you have to be still, look closely, and wait for them to reveal themselves🌀 what’s your favorite part of tidepooling? of noticing in nature?
