Give me 4 weeks. 4 weeks to do things differently. Even if you don’t think you struggle with these things and are in good shape. 4 weeks of focusing on walking daily. Lifting 3, maybe 4 times a week using medium strength weights and taking breaks in between. Sprinkle in some yoga and Pilates. Eat well. Sleep well. And watch your shape change. This plan is especially good for those who are high stress. Remember fitness is great. But your body doesn’t realize the difference between good or bad stress. It just pumps out cortisol. If you already struggle with high cortisol, then adding intense workouts, hiits and boot camps is going to make it even HARDER to lose weight. Doing these low impact workouts, burns fat, maintains muscle all while keeping your stress hormone down!

Lifting weights gives you more bang for your buck than any other form of exercise! It's great to include some cardio, mobility work, etc., but if you are short on time, go for strength training. Combine that with walking at least 8k steps daily and a diet high in protein and fiber, and you'll see better body composition changes than cardio and boot camps. It is really that simple👏👏👏 Working out is NOT about how many calories we can burn in a session. Instead switch your mind set to how can I get stronger today. Building muscle is the key 🔑in building sustainable results. Muscle tissue is metabolically active, meaning it burns more calories at rest than fat tissue. The more muscle you have, the higher your resting metabolic rate (RMR), leading to more calories burned throughout the day—even when you’re not exercising. In order to build muscle we need to fuel our body with the right nutrition. Strict restrictions and quick diets can often be more hurtful in your journey to build muscle and lose body fat. Prioritizing strength training is so important for us women especially as we age! I cannot stress this enough! If your body isn’t changing doing endless hiit workouts, boot camps, and cardio there is a reason! However for many of my clients we go seek help and we’re told we don’t feel well because we need to move more and watch our diet. Yes- that’s a great foundation statement. But for the majority of women struggling with their weight FOR years doing countless cardio, HIITS, boot camps, cutting calories are carbs chronically…doing MORE of those things won’t help. Especially if you have any health issues like auto immunity, thyroid disorders, gut problems, cycle problems. Less is more. Work out smarter, not harder. Working out harder and more can and will cause more cortisol = inflammation. Flare ups..for me that means a whole bunch of symptoms and basically out of commission for days. Major body fatigue. It’s fun in the moment and yea, body fatigue is normal after workouts but those with health issues will feel this x10!

When I first started coaching, I had no idea what I was doing — my only real background was gymnastics and boot camps. My first gym was a CrossFit box, and I immediately felt the clash: I came from bodyweight and conditioning, but the culture was all about heavy lifting. As I continued my education, I noticed how much of strength training was rooted in bodybuilding. Even “functional training” was missing something fundamental: rotation, multidirectional movement and intent. That’s what pulled me toward what people called unconventional training. To some, it looked “crazy” or “creative with no purpose.” Best example is using a BOSU… there’s still a lot of ignorance around it and loss of potential from lack of experience with it. I realized the truth — there’s a thin line between randomness and innovation, and it’s drawn by understanding anatomy, mechanics, and how the body is meant to move. I respect Olympic lifting, but I don’t believe it’s for everybody. Being handed a barbell before you’ve built form, mobility, and intent never felt right to me. I struggled with that… I practiced the sport for three years and it’s so technical. When I discovered WeckMethod and later Landmine University it was the light at the end of the tunnel. They made it unilateral, you can finally work on gait, running, throwing and catching… it’s a functional beast. That’s when everything clicked — my “T” finally got its tick. ✔️ Watching those mentors move with freedom, efficiency, and precision, I knew I had found my new home. Not training for aesthetics, not training for trends — but training for harmony, connection, and the way the body was truly designed to move. I am so proud to finally welcome my Landmine University Certification home 🥰 @k_1nfinite @cw__strength @landmineuniversity @thedavidweck @erodingweakness
