The truth is, as diasporas we’re still suffering from our families past… or learning to overcome the challenges of intergenerational trauma. And now in 2025, I’m standing in the place they escaped from. Living through a version of the very thing they ran from. A border conflict. A hover of daily fear. A fight for survival. Gabriel and I didn’t grow up here, but somehow, this feels like ours to carry too. In this vlog, we document what it feels like now… as diasporas… when your identity catches up with your present.
