JABoston at Christmastime is magical. Throw in some snow and your holiday dreams will come true. This is a perfect time to plan a holiday trip to Boston! Christmas and holiday decorations are going up and we saw the parks department dropping off trees this morning. Yes, I’m still in fall mode but this audio from The Holdovers just got me in the mood to create this! And before the social medial police come to tell me that it doesn’t snow in Boston anymore, I am well aware that it hasn’t snowed much in the last few years. Nobody has been more disappointed than me! 🤣 I’ve also taken all these clips over the last 4 years so apparently it still does snow… 😜. What’s your Boston Christmastime memories?

JADrone down in downtown Boston! With all these drones and UFOs in the skies, one was bound to crash and of course land on an illegally parked car in downtown Boston. 🤣🤣 🛸🛸🛸 Another great piece that’s part of @downtownbostonalliance’ Winteractive. Everyone passing by has stopped by this one and it may rival last year’s clowns in terms of curiosity.
The piece, Aloulette is by Brandon Vickerd located on Washington St across from Old Navy. An aerospace device seems to have fallen from the sky and crashed in the middle of the city. A replica of the 1962 Canadian satellite now abandoned in its perpetual earthly orbit, Alouette recalls the failed promise of a brighter future foretold by modern times. It could equally represent the ever-growing obsession with connectivity and the resulting accumulation of space waste. Will the day come when the sky finally does fall down on our heads?

4️⃣ Boston Public Library: I love libraries that make you feel like Belle from Beauty and the Beast
5️⃣ Eat Lobster Roll at Boston Harbor: My favorite is from @row34 grab it to go and walk 10 minutes to the scenic Boston Harbor
6️⃣ Explore Beacon Hill: Stroll through the historic and most picturesque neighborhood.
Stop by the famous Acorn Street as one of the most photographed streets in America
7️⃣ Walk Freedom Trail: 2.5 mile long red brick path that passes 16 significant historic sites. Start at the Boston Common Visitors Center and download ‘Freedom Trail Boston Guide’ self guided tour where you can walk at your own pace
8️⃣ Eat in North End: known as Little Italy and you can eat anywhere for the most delicious food. A must is to get a cannoli from Mike’s Pastry
9️⃣ Go to Red Sox Game: there is no place like Fenway Park and plus who doesn’t want to sing Sweet Caroline
1️⃣0️⃣ Watch sunset on esplanade: Sit on the dock while watching the sailboats as the sun goes down

🩰 Boston Ballet’s The Nutcracker
One of my favorite holiday traditions, there’s simply nothing like a night out at the @bostonballet to see The Nutcracker at Boston’s stunning opera house. Join Clara as she travels to the Kingdom of the Sweets, including a dancing bear, a growing Christmas tree, the battle with the mice, and a Nutcracker who comes to life!
The Nutcracker is playing at @citizensbankoperahouse now through Dec. 29, 2024, with tickets starting from $50 (special youth pricing is available for select performances). Run time is approx. 2 hours with one intermission.
🎄 How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical
See Dr. Seuss’ classic holiday tale brought to life on stage in this family-friendly production. Max the Dog narrates, and the little girl who plays Cindy Lou Who steals the show! With audience interaction and laugh-out-loud moments, you’ll hear classic songs like “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas.”
The Grinch is playing at @bochcenter Wang Theatre now through Dec. 23, 2024, with tickets starting at $35. Run time is approx. 85 minutes with no intermission.
🎶 The Holiday Pops
Another classic Boston holiday tradition is @bostonsymphony’s Holiday Pops. Conductor Keith Lockhart always delivers an incredible performance, while you enjoy classics like “Jingle Bells,” “The 12 Days of Christmas,” and “Sleigh Ride.” Santa himself always makes an appearance, and every year I look forward to hearing a story and the sing-along of classic carols at the end.
