The question sounds like concern, but it’s just another way to shift responsibility off the person who caused harm and onto the person who survived it. I was the victim. I was scared, confused, and trying to make it through something I didn’t have the language, power, or support to even process, let alone report. The responsibility was never mine. Not then, not now. If someone goes on to hurt others, that is on them and on the systems and adults who failed to step in, not the child who was trying to survive it. Stop asking survivors why they didn’t do more. Start asking why the people who could’ve done something… didn’t. #victimblaming #abusesurvivor #believesurvivors #abuseawareness #breakthestigma

explained ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Panic attacks and anxiety attacks are often labeled as the same things , but the experience inside and outside body can feel different A panic attack often comes with a sudden surge of intense fear that pushes the body into full fight-or-flight mode. It can make us restless and overwhelmed with energy (pacing back and forth, shaking, breathing heavily, or holding our head as our mind races) The body feels like it has to move to release the intensity, almost like the nervous system is trying to escape a danger that isn’t physically there. An anxiety attack can feel more like a heavy cloud settling over us. there’s a constant pressure of worry and tension. Thoughts swirl around and around, and the body can feel stuck. it can feel like we’re sitting under a storm of thoughts, while the anxiety circles our mind. Both experiences are real and valid responses from a nervous system trying to protect us. They just show up in different ways. one that pushes the body into frantic motion, and one that can leave us feeling trapped under the weight of anxious thoughts. Have you experienced either? Let us know ⬇️⬇️

Video Credit to planet.ai Wait! How does narcissistic personality get that? 🤨 Asking AI to draw mental illnesses as houses is creative and visually compelling. However, to be clear, mental illness cannot truly be depicted as a building or a structure. It is far more complex, layered, and deeply human. Still, the video is an interesting artistic interpretation. What do you think? @kingspsychiatry #kingspsychiatry #MentalHealthMatters #EndTheStigma #BreakTheStigma #EmotionalWellness

If you’ve never had to calculate the risk of speaking, you don’t get to dictate how survivors stayed alive. Especially after being strategically isolated, silence is a rational response to danger. People who judge survivors’ silence are usually imagining a world where truth is welcomed and protected. That is not the world abuse exists in. In the real world, speaking can cost your life. Survivors don’t stay quiet because they lack courage, but because they understood the stakes. And surviving under those stakes is not something anyone else gets to rewrite. #abuserecovery #breakthestigma #womensupportingwomen

At A Ray of Hope, we specialize in both neurology and psychiatry to help you find the clarity you deserve. We offer ADHD testing and personalized care right here in Phoenix. “When one of us opens up, it gives the next person permission to do the same” 💭 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health issue each year and many of them are sitting right beside us at work. Nearly 60% of employees say they’ve felt stressed or overwhelmed on the job, yet so many stay silent. Let’s change that. Check in on your coworkers. Listen without judgment. Normalize taking breaks. Encourage balance, not burnout. A simple “Are you okay?” can go further than you think. Let’s build workplaces where people feel seen, supported, and safe. 🤝 A charity which helps a lot is @bandofbuilders_ !🔨 #MentalHealthMatters #WorkplaceWellbeing #SupportEachOther #BreakTheStigma #HealthyWorkplace

When it comes to kids and athletes talking openly about their mental health, Steve Young (@steveyoung) is all in. And so are we. Our Chief wellbeing Officer, @drmirhom, caught up with the @nfl legend during the @gostanford youth mental health forum. Breaking the stigma starts with leaders who are willing to listen, speak up, and support honest conversations—on the field, in the locker room, and beyond. When athletes feel safe to share their experiences, we create healthier environments for the next generation. Because real strength shows up when we make space for the conversation. #amhw2026 #breakthestigma

Patrick "Paddy" Pimblett is a British professional mixed martial artist born on January 3, 1995, in Liverpool, England. He currently competes in the Lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Pimblett began his professional career in 2012 and gained prominence in the Cage Warriors promotion, where he captured and defended the Featherweight Championship. Since making his UFC debut in September 2021, he has become one of the organization's most statistically significant athletes in terms of social media engagement and viewership, training out of the Next Generation MMA gym in Liverpool. The Message Behind the Victory: Following his win at UFC London, Pimblett utilized his post-fight interview to address a personal tragedy: the suicide of a close friend that occurred just hours before his official weigh-in. Eschewing the traditional technical breakdown of the fight, he delivered a direct appeal to the male demographic. He challenged the societal expectation of emotional suppression, famously stating he would rather his friend "cry on his shoulder than go to his funeral next week," and urged men to speak out about their internal struggles. The Importance of Men’s Mental Health: This moment highlights a critical shift in the cultural narrative of combat sports, where "toughness" is often equated with silence. Statistics consistently show that men are less likely to seek professional help for mental health issues due to the stigma of appearing "weak." Pimblett’s platform serves as a reminder that vulnerability is a component of mental resilience, not a lack of it. Normalizing these conversations is a vital step in reducing suicide rates and ensuring that mental well-being is prioritized as highly as physical health. #PaddyPimblett #UFC #MMA #MensMentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #SpeakUp #ItsOkToTalk #BreakTheStigma #SuicidePrevention #Liverpool #UFCLondon #TheBaddy #MentalHealthMatters #ReelsInstagram #TrendingReels #ViralVideo #Motivation #SocialImpact #HealthAndWellness #CombatSports #GrowthMindset #SelfCare #ManUp

PTSD is not just “thinking about the past too much.” It’s what happens when a traumatic experience doesn’t leave the body and mind. Even after the event is over, the person may relive it through flashbacks, nightmares, sudden fear, or feeling constantly on edge. They might avoid places, people, or conversations that remind them of what happened. Sometimes they feel numb, detached, or like the world isn’t safe anymore. PTSD can develop after accidents, abuse, loss, violence, or any deeply distressing experience. It’s not weakness, drama, or attention-seeking — it’s the brain trying to protect itself after overwhelming stress. And the most important thing to understand? Healing is possible with support, patience, and the right help. Be kind. You never know what someone is silently surviving. #ptsdawarness #mindloom #mentalhealthmatters #reelsindia #breakthestigma

According to an article by Psychology Today, self-appreciation is a good skill to have and goes beyond self-compassion and self-esteem by allowing you to truly appreciate who you are. It not only allows you to reflect on the hard things you’ve done, but it also gives you time to reflect on your strengths and can build on your confidence.
