JUI’m now scared of eating giant oysters 🦪🙈
We visited Jagalchi Market in Busan and my boyfriend and I shared everything except the giant oyster! The sashimi was delicious and fresh 😋
I ended up getting SO sick the next evening and basically slept in front of the toilet, I thought I needed to go to hospital! I was constantly heaving but had nothing left to throw up so I thought I was going to throw up my insides 🥹
I thought I had food poisoning but turns out it was most likely Norovirus from the oyster!

This market is the LARGEST fish market in South Korea and has the wildest selection of seafood we've ever seen.
Its truly one of the most entertaining fish markets we've ever been too. The vendors are so kind and friendly, which made for a fun interactive experience. But the best part! You get to choose your fresh seafood downstairs and then they will cook it for you upstairs. Perfect for us travelers who want to try the local cuisine but don't have time/place to prepare ourselves.

HOW TO GET THERE:
🚇 Take the metro from Busan Station to Myeongnyun (≈30 min)
🚶 Walk 15 min (slight uphill) to the cable car station
🚡 Cable cars run every 30 min from 9:30 - 17:00, the ride up takes about 20 min (11000 won).
🚪 From the top, walk 15 min to the South Gate of Geumjeongsan Fortress
⬅️ Facing the South Gate:
Head left and hike in 45 min and you’ll arrive at Seokbulsa!
Why visit
✨ A serene, off-the-beaten-path temple
🪨 Towering 10-meter stone carvings
🌲 Peaceful forest trails with fewer tourists
Full disclosure, this temple was built by a monk in 1930, so it is not as old as we initially thought, but still a beautiful site!
