So let's start, I'm not a morning person. I would much rather stay up all night to get a job done instead of actually going to sleep. But what have I learned, as a business owner, waking up this early? 1) I am shockingly productive. If I can get up and get at it, I am productive, because let's be honest, no one else is up and so I can take my time, get my coffee and start working at my tasks for the day. 2) I get more done throughout the day. Hand in hand with number one. I get more tasks done better than I would if I were to stay at the office until twelve at night. Which don't kid yourself, as a small business owner, still happens sometimes. 3) I have gotten healthier. Instead of just grabbing fast food and going I actually have time to think in the morning, it's easier. I have an amazing support system and I try and go for a brief walk, I just feel better throughout the day. 4) My business is better. I have time to tidy up the truck, sweep and clean the office a little, or get together paperwork for that day. This not only helps me but also allows me to provide the best foot forward for my students. All in all, mornings, like running a business, isn't for everyone. But it's something I value and appreciate all of the support I've received over the years, and I've learnt a thing or two over it. Do I recommend it? Sometimes, the transition period was rough, did not like it at all, but the benefits for me far outweighs that, maybe it could help you too. #hopfeadvantage #supportlocal #onlinecourses #TruckTraining #smallbusinessowner

The most common thing I hear before a busy professional starts working with me is this. “I just do not have the time.” I hear it from people closing 6 figure deals every month. From parents running households and businesses simultaneously. From leaders managing teams of 20 plus people. And within the first week of working together every single one of them found the time. Not because their schedule cleared up. Because we stopped trying to fit a standard plan into their life and built a system around the schedule they already have. 3 training sessions. 45 minutes each. Working with the right people changes everything. Over the years, there have been challenges that taught me not everyone shares the same work ethic, priorities, or level of care. And that’s okay. But it does make one thing very clear: Who you surround yourself with matters. In this business, the people on your team shape the experience for everyone involved. The clients we serve. The families making big decisions. The outcomes we’re trusted with. I’m incredibly intentional about who I work alongside and who I represent, because it’s a big deal. It should be.

I get asked all the time by other business owners, “How do you guys have such an amazing culture?” “How do you attract such great people?” Here’s the truth. Culture isn’t an accident. It’s intentional. It’s not ping pong tables. It’s not slogans on the wall. It’s not a once-a-year team dinner. Culture is how you show up every single day. If you want great people, you have to BE a great leader. If you want passion, you have to live with passion. If you want buy-in, you have to invite people into the mission. At our company, we don’t just talk about vision, we share it. We don’t just set goals, we align on them. We don’t just expect excellence, we encourage and recognize it. When you allow your team to be part of something bigger than themselves, their goals start to align with yours. And when that happens, everything changes. You have to intentionally invest in your people DAILY. Not when it’s convenient. Not when things are slow. Every day. Because your people are the business. They are the ones in the field. They are the ones serving customers. They are the ones keeping the machine moving. If you want your employees to be happy, fulfilled, and fired up to work for you… You better be happy, fulfilled, and fired up to work WITH them. Tell them. Show them. Invest in them.
