Some of my takeaways…
⭐️ Start with a capsule wardrobe mindset to make sure you have all the right basics and good foundation pieces (you’ll receive my capsule guide when you comment “FALL STYLE”).
⭐️ An important one to not look dated: instead of the top of your ankle boots meeting right at the hem of your jeans, look for ankle boots with a slim shaft that can tuck in under the leg opening of your jeans and pants
⭐️ The 3 color rule: if in doubt, stick to 3 colors for a balanced outfit.
⭐️ Along the same lines, the 3rd piece rule. Aim to have a 3rd garment element in an outfit instead of just a top + bottoms to add texture and interest
⭐️ Instead of buying clothes and bags in all different colors, narrow down a handful of colors that flatter your skin tone the most and build on that for easy mixing & matching. Took me years to learn that camel brown doesn’t actually work for my skin tone!
⭐️ Longer length outerwear and more relaxed cut pieces have more longevity than fitted and snug
⭐️ Slim straight jeans and ankle pants > leggings and skinnies
⭐️ Better to buy something you really want at full price, than something that only because it’s on sale
⭐️ Elevated, good quality basics in natural fibers > trendy pieces, always
⭐️ Classic knee high boots > tight OTK boots
⭐️ Kitten heels are a lot more chic and comfy than high heels
⭐️ Subtle, quiet luxury > large logos
