Denuncian abusos y torturas en el Centro de Corrección y Rehabilitación de La Romana
El exdiputado del Partido Reformista Social Cristiano (PRSC) por La Romana, Pedro Botello, ha denunciado públicamente graves abusos en el Centro de Corrección y Rehabilitación Cucama (CCRR), mostrando imágenes que evidencian torturas a un interno.
A través de un mensaje enviado por WhatsApp, Botello declaró: “Este video revela la barbarie que ocurre en el CCRR de La Romana, un hecho que se repite ante la indiferencia de la Procuraduría y el director de Prisiones. Ambas instituciones están al tanto de estos abusos, pero forman parte de un sistema que tortura a los internos como forma de venganza, convirtiéndose las autoridades en delincuentes, igual o peores que los reclusos”.

ARFirst and foremost thank you to the CCRR for having me and allowing to speak. Reparations has been a point of discussion for decades and now there’s motion to the point funding is being discussed. To be able to have a voice in the matter was a gift but something I saw really pissed me off. Everyone went up there and spoke to our roots, our history the dark and the light. How we was sold and systems where set in place to ensure we stay in rivalry, competition light skinded vs dark sinded and we have come so far. Soon as money got brought who should get it and who shouldn’t niggas started goin at each other like clockwork. Dont put a price on your soul , put an arm around ya brothers and sister niggas. We gotta do better. We stronger together
