Don’t read this caption… I went to Mass for at least a year, but I was hesitant to fully embrace the Catholic Faith. I attended Methodist, Baptist, and Non-Denominational churches, hoping Jesus would give me peace somewhere outside of the Catholic Church. The girl I was dating wasn’t on board with the Catholic life, and I knew it would be a problem if we got married. So I looked for a non-denominational church instead… but there was no peace, and the Holy Spirit was stirring things up in my heart. Eventually, I broke down and half surrendered. I prayed: “God, if you want me to be Catholic, you’re gonna have to take her away from me.” Then I added: “Make me the man you want me to be.” A month later, she broke up with me, I lost my job, and the church stopped reaching out, all in one day. It was clear God had answered my prayer. I knew He was calling me to the Eucharist, to Confession, and to conversion. So I enrolled in RCIA (OCIA) and began my journey home. Years later, here I am: Catholic, and still learning what it means to live an authentic Catholic Life. But once again, God asked me to let go. I’ve been making Country Music since 2016. I had early success in Texas with a song called Don’t Mess With Texas (and no, it’s not just for Texans 🤠). That opened doors and helped launch my career as a Country Artist. I spent almost a decade in the music business, learning how Nashville and Texas Country operate—radio, Country Playlists, and Honky Tonks. But something still wasn’t clicking. God was speaking to me again. I’ve tried to evangelize through music and share my Faith, but I’ve also tried to keep the Catholic part quiet. I was afraid of losing opportunities. I still am. But I’m letting go, or at least trying. Why hide the treasure I’ve found in the Catholic Church? So here I am… a Catholic Country Artist, writing songs that reflect my Catholic Christian faith, my family, and the freedom that comes from surrender. If you want to hear more Catholic Country music, follow me. Comment “MUSIC” and I’ll send you a song for your Country Playlist 🤠 Finally, if you want to see God move in your life pray, “God, make me who you want to be” 🙏

Blasphemy is more than just swearing—it’s any thought, word, or action that dishonors God. From misusing His holy name to mocking what is sacred, the Church teaches that blasphemy violates the Second Commandment: “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.” Learn why respect for God’s name and holy things is essential in Catholic life, and why blasphemy is considered a grave sin. ✝️ Subscribe for more Catholic answers to common questions about faith, morality, and prayer.

Last year during Lent, I surrendered for the first time in my Catholic life. Not to get on the internet and share what I was doing- I kept it very private.. But because I was desperate for depth. Daily Mass….Adoration…..Stations. I wanted discipline. somewhere in the discipline we yearn for ourselves we started to realize something uncomfortable. While working on myself I was handing my kids dopamine to buy quiet. I’m in recovery and am a counselor I know what that glazed look is. I know what chasing relief feels like. And when I saw it on their faces…it freaked me out. Check out the brain scans on a kids brain lit up like that of an adult in active addiction. The devil doesn’t need your house to be loud… hejust needs it disconnected. Disconnected children, grow up in isolation, not regulating, furthering menal@health problems, develop anxiety, lack social skills, pull further away from you… like the 😈 wants Lent isn’t just about what we remove… it’s about what we restore. If you feel that tension too, this is why I created The Devil in the Living Room. It isn’t a guilt trip. It’s a roadmap. How we’ve accomplished the last 18 months off iPads. 1. The Sacraments: The sacraments, central to Catholic life, are rooted in Scripture. - Baptism is instituted by Christ’s own baptism (Matthew 3:16-17) and His command to baptize all nations (Matthew 28:19). - Eucharist is founded on the Last Supper narratives, where Jesus institutes the Eucharist saying, “This is my body... this is my blood” (Matthew 26:26-28; Luke 22:19-20). - Confession is inspired by Jesus giving the apostles authority to forgive sins (John 20:22-23). - Anointing of the Sick is linked to the instruction in James 5:14-15 to anoint the sick with oil and pray over them. 2. The Mass: The structure and elements of the Mass draw heavily from Scripture. The Liturgy of the Word mirrors the synagogue practices of reading and preaching from Scripture (Luke 4:16-20), while the Liturgy of the Eucharist reflects the Last Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). 3. Devotion to Mary: Marian devotion finds roots in Scripture, such as the angel Gabriel’s greeting at the Annunciation (Luke 1:28) and Mary’s role at the wedding at Cana, which depicts her intercessory role (John 2:1-11). 4. The Communion of Saints: The Catholic practice of venerating saints is inspired by the “cloud of witnesses” described in Hebrews 12:1 and the intercessory role of holy figures in both Old and New Testaments (2 Maccabees 15:12-16; Revelation 5:8). 5. Tradition and Magisterial Teaching: Catholic understanding of Tradition is supported by passages like 2 Thessalonians 2:15, where Paul exhorts adherence to traditions taught by word or letter. 6. Prayer Practices: The Rosary, while not explicitly in Scripture, is meditative prayer focused on significant events in the life of Christ and Mary, reflecting biblical events and themes. Note: since this audio is a bit aggressive (but funny) I decided to hide the commenter info. I want to attack the idea, not the individual. 2026 goal: become more Catholic 🕊️ Follow along if faith, healing, and Catholic life are part of your journey too 🤍 This past year was rough… but by the grace of the Holy Spirit, I survived. Now I want to draw closer to Christ than ever before — through prayer, reading, learning, and truly living my Catholic faith. Right now, I can’t receive the sacraments because my marriage isn’t recognized by the Catholic Church yet. My husband is converting, we’re attending classes, and we cannot wait to be married in the eyes of the Church. Until then… I miss the Eucharist. I long for Confession. So I’m praying my rosary, learning, worshiping, and trusting God’s timing. I know my OG followers remember the old days when I’d show my rosaries on live or when we’d wait for the church bells to ring! I miss sharing those moments and there coming back! Comment if you remember those days! But this year, expect more Catholic content. More faith. More honesty. More Mary 🤍 More Jesus. ✝️ Where are you in your faith journey right now?
