The fragrance doesn’t linger, but avoid if allergic. It didn’t sting my eyes. One of my favorite things about my podcast is the ability to interview guests to help educate all of you on all of your common questions.
And sunscreen ingredients are one of those common questions.
😎What to look for in sunscreen for kids?
😎What is the regulatory process of sunscreens?
😎Is mineral of chemical sunscreen preferred?
😎Is Oxybenzone a concern?
😎What is the difference between spray versus lotion sunscreens?
But our number one tip about sunscreen?
Using it! And reapplying!
Remember that sunscreen can be used above 6 months of age. Sun protection with shade, umbrellas, and sun-safe clothing is also important. Remember, if your child is between 2 months and 6 months and you MUST be in the direct sun, a small amount of sunscreen is okay for the cheeks, hands, and feet (but please check with your healthcare professional!)
When applying sunscreen, make sure to apply it to the tops of the feet, tops of the ears, cheeks, nose, forehead, top of shoulders if they are exposed, and into any whorls or parts in the hair.
I know we often forget these spots, but make sure to get these sensitive areas.
