NII am always exploring the tension between movement and stillness, softness and boldness, layering colors and textures to evoke both fluidity and structure.
My work is deeply rooted in sensation, translating the intangible into something both visual and tactile.
Inspired by my journey through hearing loss and my interpretation of sound, each piece reflects strength, tranquility, and the power of resilience—transforming limitation into possibility, silence into expression.

ZE“Timing is not about age. It’s about readiness.”
For a long time, Emi Subotovsky (@esuboart19) postponed permission. Not because the passion wasn’t there, but because life told her to wait.
A career in law. Moving countries. Raising a family. Learning a new language. Starting over. None of it was easy. But she never allowed herself to say, “I can’t.”
Later in life, she finally gave herself permission to pursue what had been quietly waiting inside her all along.
Today, Emi creates as a resident artist at our Zero Empty Spaces location at the Design Center of the Americas (@dcotadesign) in Dania Beach, working in a dedicated studio surrounded by community, connection, and possibility. What once lived in a laundry room now has room to breathe.
You can visit Emi during Open Studio every 3rd Friday of the month from 5–7pm at DCOTA.

SUSuch a special experience being part of Icons of Rhythm at the @dedon_official showroom in @dcotadesign.
Artist @manuelcolonarte created original sculptures inspired by each designer's favorite Dedon piece; mine was the Atolo Lounge Chair by Claudio Bellini, a perfect balance of strength and softness.
Grateful for the creativity and craft poured into this event.
