I’m sorry, but you might be doing DSA the wrong way! ❌
Common Mistake
So, I see many people either looking at the solution too quickly OR wasting hours staring at a single question. Neither is efficient ❌
So, what is the winning strategy? 🤔
1. Brainstorm 🧠: Try to solve the problem for atleast 20-30mins. If you feel you are close to the logic, keep brainstorming!
But, if you can’t get anywhere close to it, follow step 2.
2. The Hint 🔍 : Look at the hint, not the full solution. Then, try to brainstorm again.
3. Solution🛠️: If you still can’t solve it, look at the solution. But don’t just memorize it! Focus on learning the pattern behind it so you can solve a problem with a similar flavor in the future.
This approach helps you cover more problems while actually building your problem-solving skills. 🚀

4 hours, 4 medium DSA problems solved
But solving wasn’t the hardest part.
Here’s what nobody tells you about DSA in Python:
Finding quality explanations is HARD.
Tons of videos exist for C++ and Java. But Python DSA resources? Limited. Really limited.
Today I got stuck on one problem and wasted time just SEARCHING for a good Python explanation. Not just copy-paste code — actual logic breakdown.
Finally found a few creators who explain properly in Python. But it took effort.
So if you’re learning DSA in Python after your 9 to 5 while job hunting — expect this. It’s normal.
It doesn’t mean:
❌ You’re bad at DSA
❌ Python is wrong
❌ You should switch languages
It just means we dig a little deeper for resources.
