I get why he’d want to protect the memories of what F1 was for him, untouched and uncompromised. He’s been clear that a return as a driver isn’t on the table and that chapter of his life is closed. Stepping away seems intentional, like choosing peace over forcing himself into a version of F1 that no longer feels right. Sometimes walking away is the most honest thing you can do.
