LIMy daughter wanted to be Glinda for World Book Day but didn’t have a pink dress… so we got creative!
I dyed her white bridesmaid dress pale pink using Dylon and it was SO easy to do.
The transformation was perfect and she was absolutely thrilled with the end result 🫧🌸

JARe-dying some faded & stained casual-wear using #Dylon Intense Black washing machine pods.
The neon crewneck turned out a sort of forest green colour due to the intensity of the original dye but we think it looks great!
Here are the steps to follow if you are thinking of trying this yourself:
1. Pre-Wash your garments
2. Pour contents of pod into the drum and spin the drum by hand to separate the dye
3. Place pre-soaked garments into the drum and do a full cotton cycle at 40c
4. Do another cycle with detergent
5. Remove garments and do a tub clean cycle (we add some white vinegar into the drum)
6. Give your garments an iron or steam and your good to go
Please note this type of dye with only work on natural fabrics like cotton, wool or linen. The dye will not take to synthetic materials, resulting in the inner tags and sometimes stitching remaining their original colour.

En pakke er nok til at farve 600g stof (fx et par jeans) i en mættet nuance eller 1,2 kg stof (f.eks dynebetræk til dobbeltdyne) til en lysere nuance.
Velegnet til farvning af bomuld, linned og viskose. Bomuld/polyester og viskose/polyester blandinger får lysere nuancer.
Ikke egnet til uld, silke eller syntetiske materiale (akryl, polyester, nylon) og stoffer med særlig overfladebehandling.

HO𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞 — Et lille tip til dig, hvis dine håndklæder er blevet falmede, triste eller nussede at se på - eller hvis du bare trænger til at pifte dine håndklæder lidt op. Jeg har brugt tekstil farve fra mærket Dylon i farven “intense black”, som jeg købte hos @matasdk for blot 80kr på tilbud ✨
Jeg startede med at forvaske mine håndklæder på et kort program ved 30°, hvor efter jeg hældte Dylon farven ind på de våde håndklæder. Herefter vaskede jeg dem på et langt program på 40°. Jeg brugte 1 farve til 2 store badehåndklæder & 1 lille håndklæde - så jeg vaskede altså 3 vaske for at nå i mål.
Husk endelig at vaske jeres vaskemaskine igennem på 2 programmer efter vask, for at sikre at farven ikke vil smitte af på fremtidige vaske 🫧

TH💚 so excited! Since I started gaining confidence with dressmaking, I naturally leant towards warmer fabrics, so this will be the first spring sewing with a stronger skills set!
