DEListen, let me put a few things into perspective:
- I’ve played most of the numbered titles in the Final Fantasy series. FF7 is by far the worst for me out of all of those.
- The story was boring, characters mediocre, the materia system was ass, and the game aged like spoiled milk.
- Other Final Fantasy games offered way more to me than this title did. People say it’s the peak of the series, but I disagree. This was not my first Final Fantasy game, that would go to FF4 which ranks 5th on my list of Final Fantasy games.
- I really feel nostalgia plays a heavily rule into why people like FF7 or it was their very first entry in the series. That’s not the case for me as I stated above.
- I have played the remake for FF7 and that did not change my stance on the game whatsoever. Everyone has their opinions on games and this is mine.
