In the intense Unity Day Festival sequence, Kirsten Dunst reportedly insisted on performing the scene herself as the balcony began to collapse. To create a more realistic sense of danger, the production used practical pyrotechnics during filming.
When the effects went off earlier than expected, her terrified reaction and scream were captured naturally on camera. By staying in the scene instead of relying on a stunt double, the moment gained a level of physical authenticity that many modern CGI-heavy films struggle to replicate.
