✈️ Etihad’s “The Residence” is a 3-room private suite — and it’s the closest thing to flying private in commercial aviation.
In addition to the spacious seat, you have a separate bedroom and even a personal bathroom AND shower!
It’s a level above First Class, and there’s only one Residence on the aircraft. Only available on the A380 on specific routes.
I booked my First Class “Apartment” seat with points, and then upgraded to the Residence from there with cash.

FI2024 was the first time we booked a business class flight, since then we have flown business on 35+ flights 🤯 No we’re not rich, it’s not luck and no it’s not just credit cards.
So how is it possible?
There is a system that anyone can learn to consistently find amazing deals on Business and First class tickets around the world
here are the steps you need to get started 👇🏼
1. 🤔Little known fact - Points are harder to earn than they are to buy! Airlines sell their points and every so often they have sales or bonuses on these points, which is where we find amazing value! →
2. 🛩️ Booking Airline1 with points from Airline2 - another fact, most airlines have partnerships with many other airlines, so you can use your points from one airline to book another, often at better prices too! Alliances and partnerships are goldmines for people who know how to search →
3. 👨🏼💻Where to search? - My number 1 favorite tool by far is seats.aero - you can search different programs, airlines, routes, specific business/first types. learn how to use this tool and you will become an invincible business class traveler →
4. 💡“But my airport sucks”… so be flexible! - book an economy ticket to a hub with better redemption options and open up a world of opportunities for amazing business and first class fares →
5. 📥 action required: sign up to all the big airlines programs and newsletters (doesn’t cost anything) - subscribe to their email notifications for deals etc - this is where you’ll get the points & discounts info delivered directly to you so you know when to take action
6. ✈️ Don’t buy points unless you have an idea of what you’re booking - use seats.aero or call the airline that has the point sale to ask for help planning a trip and looking for the best redemptions.

I stepped onboard the RoyalJet Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) to experience what ultra luxury aviation really looks like, and honestly, I was beyond impressed.
This aircraft is thoughtfully designed across four distinct sections, each one more refined than the last.
Section one, the lounge seating area
As you enter, you are welcomed into a 2 2 seating configuration with opposing seats, wrapped in luxurious leather, rich wood finishes, and subtle gold accents throughout. This space feels more like a private palace than an aircraft cabin, designed for conversation, comfort, and presence.
Section two, the dining and meeting room
A full business meeting and dining area with plush seating arranged around a central table, a large screen for presentations or entertainment, stunning ceiling details, and refined interior finishes everywhere you look. Wireless connectivity is available throughout the aircraft, making this a fully functional flying boardroom.
Section three, the master bedroom
A private sanctuary in the sky featuring a king size bed dressed in designer, sumptuous bedding. Retractable window shades, full mood and cabin light control, and multiple personal storage compartments create a calm, residential atmosphere that feels completely disconnected from flying.
Section four, the master bathroom
A fully equipped luxury bathroom with shower facilities, concealed toilet design, and premium toiletries, executed to the same standard you would expect in a five star hotel suite.
This is not casual private aviation.
Chartering this Royal Jet costs approximately $15,000 per flight hour.
A Dubai to London journey of around 9 hours would come to about $135,000.
An unforgettable experience nonetheless.
