KUAlicia’s thoughts of the day. The world is batshit crazy. The etymology for this term comes from bats flying erratically… Anywho. The waves and seals poppin their heads out of the water and pelicans flying in formation, the little moth that made my shirt its temporary landing pad, all, brought a “shit ton”(first known usage 1991, relatively new coinage) of peace. I needed the reset and so grateful to be able to get away and end up at one of my favorite places. Camping by myself, I always feel people look at me so oddly, but, there is so much tranquility that comes from being able to do this alone in one’s thoughts. 5 doc appointments in a handful of weeks… I was due for a break. My dear friend Melissa has named what has been causing me some pain and discomfort, “Lefty the Road Hog” hogging space where it shouldn’t. I’m left with decisions that I feel both suck, so, here we are. Bogi laying in the sand oblivious to anything but the seagull and pigeon rudely flying in his space and me staring into the never ending crashing waves. I have no point to any of this, I guess maybe just to encourage everyone to get out and find wherever it is that brings you comfort and peace. Work and the stresses of the world can become so heavy and we all need to find our safe place? Maybe reach out to your friends and remember always to be kind? Go camping? Lol. Whatever, just, this was my reset and what I wanted to remember from my little getaway. Hugs and love to all.
