Comedian #TonyHinchcliffe delivered a joke about Puerto Ricans that's causing a political firestorm. "There's literally a floating island of garbage in the ocean right now. It's called #PuertoRico," he said at the rally, prompting big stars of Puerto Rican descent to endorse #KamalaHarris.

CSTony Hinchcliffe, a comedian and host of the “Kill Tony” podcast, called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage” and made a slew of off-color jokes while performing at former President Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.
“There’s a lot going on. I don’t know if you know this, but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico,” Mr. Hinchcliffe said of the U.S. territory.
The comment drew rebukes from several Republican members of Congress, including Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) and Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL).
The Trump campaign also distanced the former president from the remark.
“This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign,” Danielle Alvarez, a senior adviser to the Trump campaign, said in a statement.
