CAIf money was no object, what would you do with your time?
We all live for the dream of more money and more time, although in real life you need to spend time to make money which buys time. The more money you accumulate, the less time you seem to have, so when you do find time, you need to spend it wisely.
Also for you young people reading this, time increases in value through the decades of your life, especially when you realise you have less left, plus time seems to accelerate as you get older. Days, weeks and month literally fly by.
Therefore when I’m down route on a 24 hour layover, I make maximum use of my time to explore the opportunities available at my destination, especially if involves Aviation.
Orlando is a destination with so many obvious opportunities for fun and adventure, I’ve done most of the theme parks with crew and my family over the past 3 decades flying there. You can never get bored in Orlando.
When I first started flying here in the 90’s I visited Jack Brown Seaplane Base a Winterhaven, about halfway between Orlando and Tampa. It’s the perfect place to learn to fly a seaplane due to the unique geography which features a huge expanse of small canal-linked lakes, perfect for “puddle-jumping”

I didn’t get to Orlando much when I was flying the A340-600 to the Far East, Africa and the West Coast of USA, but having recently found myself back in Orlando I’ve revisited @browns_seaplane and taken a couple of flight with two of their keen young instructors Hunter @huntersinclair01 and Micheal @thepilotmichael
They’ve re-ignited my love of the simple pleasure of flying light aircraft, and reminded me of basic instructional techniques and the art of patter.
Flying a Piper Cub on floats and making touch and go circuits from one lake to the next, is the perfect way to spend my precious time.

CAJack Brown’s Seaplanes provides one of the most simple, yet exhilarating flying experiences, ‘puddle-jumping’ a seaplane around the middle of Florida.
@browns_seaplane has a fleet of Piper Cubs and Super Cubs plus their new Icon A1 aircraft which they use to train pilots for seaplane ratings and also to provide joy flights for pilots and non-pilots who want to experience this simple fun flying.
Brown’s qualifies around 400 pilots for seaplane ratings each year, which represents approximately 70% of the worldwide seaplane ratings. Many do it for fun and some ratings are used commercially in the Maldives, Canada and Alaska.
