2 - Nightlife is basically nonexistent. You’ll need to head to Huntington or Costa Mesa for restaurants, bars, and entertainment.
3 - Traffic can get rough around the 405, Brookhurst, and Warner—especially at rush hour.

EAIM OBSSESSED with @momonoki.fv !! The food is amazing and I couldn’t believe the pricing!! I genuinely thought every dish could’ve been $10 more. It’s a great spot for date night with a beautiful modern environment and every dish is presented so well and tastes amazing.
My favorite was their short rib cavatelli ($20) it’a so saucy and creamy and they put a good amount of meat. You can’t go wrong with their miso carbonara only ($14!!) its silky and perfectly al dente. All their basic pastas are literally under $15. It’s crazyyyy
I also got their skirt steak ($25) and it was perfectly cooked but I thought the marinade was a little too sweet for me. It’s similar to bulgogi.
I really love the Asian Italian fusion flavors and 10/10 i recommend coming here. I really want to try their other pastas! ❤️❤️

MU📍Fountain Valley: Pho Flavor
💭: Stopped by for a comforting meal and it really hit the spot 🍜. I got their northern-style pho, which is different from the usual pho I’m used to, but wow it was sooo good and comforting. The broth felt cleaner and more subtle, but still super flavorful in that slow, warming way. You can really taste the difference in style, and it honestly made the bowl feel extra homey. Also the bowl designs here are sooo cool and it made the whole experience feel special instead of just another pho spot. And I love that you can take home the basil plant 🌿, such a cute touch, and it makes the meal feel thoughtful. Left feeling full, warm, and very satisfied 🥹 exactly what you want from pho. -mk

Amarith is a unique and super diverse spot, with several locations - their cooking is made from scratch, they don’t use artificial ingredients, their chicken is halal, and they don’t cook with seed oil (they use olive oil, peanut oil, butter). The list goes on.
I got:
Famous Fried Chicken (half)
Lemon-herb marinade with crispy, shattering batter
Brussels, potato salad
I think the best fried chicken is Gus’s but this extremely gives them a run for their money. They’re also such different styles that I’d also say this could be considered the best fried chicken in OC. It’s crispy, juicy, seasoned incredibly with the lemon herb, and delectable all around.

Dough made and fermented in house.
Great pizza - you can get hawaiian, the works, bbq chicken, etc.
Cinnamon Rolls
Completely made from scratch in house, even blueberry compote and lemon curd on top.

Totally worth the drive to Fountain Valley. After I started referring this place to my friends, they now bring their out-of-town guests here too and every single time it delivers.
This is truly a hidden gem. No crazy hype, no long waits (even at lunch or dinner), just quick, easy, casual, not expensive, and consistently delicious Hainan chicken.
Pro tip: stop by on your way to IKEA or South Coast Plaza and thank me later 😉
