In Spring 2027, we’re excited to participate in #FurtherTriennial—a region-wide
celebration of Northern California’s creative and cultural life. Dozens upon dozens of institutions throughout the #bayarea will be hosting exhibitions and public programing surrounding this theme.
Our Exhibition will be titled,
¡Viva Precita Eyes!: 50 Years of Public Community Mural Arts and Culture
For 50 years, Precita Eyes Muralists have been creating Community focused, public art murals within the Mission District and beyond. This exhibition will explore the origins of Precita Eyes, and take visitors on a journey through 50 years of Community Focused Public Artwork, through an exploration of five of the organization’s most influential mural projects. Learn more about the artists behind the work, see the original designs and narratives, look behind the scenes, and come together to appreciate the community that brought these works to life.
