My outfit from the Game of Wool episode 8 - the final! This is the chevron stripe jumper, a 1940s pattern. I used cascade heritage 4ply wool in greens and purples - a colour scheme I'm always quite drawn to! 💜💚 The Chevron is also a design from @susancrawfordvintage , who I had the pleasure of meeting recently! My first cast on of 2026 will be the 'Majestic' jumper from Susan's book 🤩💙 I purchased my copy of the original 1940s pattern from Submersive Femme on Etsy (@bexthefemme). We slightly tweaked the pattern to have two full sleeves and no bow (for extra woolly warmth this winter). The kit comes with a printed pattern, yarn and needles; all you need to make your very own 80’s inspired mohair jumper. Game of Wool 🌼 How bizarre that I’m actually sad this is ending. It’s been a real rollercoaster but honestly such a fun one. If you’re new here, me and @madebylaurentedstone have been fully invested and watched every episode of this extremely controversial TV show. Who knew the yarn world had this much drama. Yet here we are. Yes, the show needs tweaking and of course there’s plenty we would’ve done differently but it’s just telly guys. It’s meant to be entertaining and it definitely has been. Above all, the contestants have been amazing. The confidence it takes to go on TV and put yourself out there is no joke. Their talent and creativity have been outstanding. We’ll be watching the final tonight. Sad it’s over but happy it gave us some very fun Sunday nights and maybe even a few new friends along the way 🫶🏾💛 #gameofwool #crocheterofinstagram #crochet #knitting
