FI"This topic of judging others could actually be taught in a two-word sermon. When it comes to hating, gossiping, ignoring, ridiculing, holding grudges, or wanting to cause harm, please apply the following:
Stop it!
It’s that simple. We simply have to stop judging others and replace judgmental thoughts and feelings with a heart full of love for God and His children. God is our Father. We are His children. We are all brothers and sisters. I don’t know exactly how to articulate this point of not judging others with sufficient eloquence, passion, and persuasion to make it stick. I can quote scripture, I can try to expound doctrine, and I will even quote a bumper sticker I recently saw. It was attached to the back of a car whose driver appeared to be a little rough around the edges, but the words on the sticker taught an insightful lesson. It read, “Don’t judge me because I sin differently than you.”
We must recognize that we are all imperfect—that we are beggars before God. Haven’t we all, at one time or another, meekly approached the mercy seat and pleaded for grace? Haven’t we wished with all the energy of our souls for mercy—to be forgiven for the mistakes we have made and the sins we have committed?
Because we all depend on the mercy of God, how can we deny to others any measure of the grace we so desperately desire for ourselves? BRHearing this testimony inspired me so much! I was in the MTC as a brand new missionary at the time, wondering how I could ever have words good enough to share the glorious message of the gospel.

Then I heard President Hinckley testify of Jesus!

The answer became clear. I didn’t need to be eloquent orator or use a bunch of flowery words, I just needed to share my own personal witness of Jesus and how HE has changed my life!
He is the way. He is the truth. He is the life!

LDLately, I have seen the word "underwear" being thrown around when speaking about the temple garment.
Now, I also thought this years ago, but it wasn't until I heard "rumors" about garment policy changes where it peaked my interest to genuinely studying the temple garment. Why do we wear them? What are the symbols and meaning behind them? I knew the basics, but I wanted to know more.
I took my questions to the temple, and immediately I received my answers while performing initiatories. I then read the book from Anthony Sweat called, "The Holy Covenants". (Which I highly recommend reading!) I noticed when I took the time to study the importance of garments, I began to understand that they were not "just underwear", but a symbol of our Savior Jesus Christ.
"As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, those of us who have chosen to make covenants with God in the house of the Lord wear sacred ceremonial outer clothing during temple worship, symbolic of the clothing worn in ancient temple rituals. We also wear the garment of the holy priesthood, both during temple worship and in our everyday lives.
The garment of the holy priesthood is deeply symbolic and also points to the Savior.
Our temple garment reminds us that the Savior and the blessings of His Atonement cover us throughout our lives. As we put on the garment of the holy priesthood each day, that beautiful symbol becomes a part of us."
