RE1. I stopped thinking prayer had to happen at a specific time.
Prayer doesn’t only count at 5 a.m.
God isn’t limited by a schedule.
His time isn’t like our time.
What He cares about is intentionality.
I started talking to Him in the car, while driving, while walking, while listening to worship.
Prayer became presence, not performance.
2. I stopped trying to earn His love.
For a long time I thought if I was a “good Christian,” God would love me more.
But the truth is; we are already chosen.
Already loved.
Already known.
Our relationship with God isn’t like our relationship with broken humans.
He isn’t a distant parent we have to impress.
He’s a perfect Father who already delights in us.
3. I stopped treating my time with Him like a duty.
Instead of reading the Bible because I had to,
I started reading it because I wanted to know Him.
His character.
His heart.
His ways.
4. I stopped waiting for the “other shoe to drop.”
Sometimes we struggle to accept God’s goodness.
We keep trying to figure Him out or prepare for disappointment.
But God isn’t waiting to fail us.
He is consistently good.
The more I sought Him with curiosity instead of pressure…
the more real He became in my everyday life.
If you’ve been trying to earn God’s love…
maybe the real invitation is simply to know Him.
you already chosen, if if you feel like you have to perform, then you’re missing out on his freedom, his love and his kindness he’s with you right in this moment as you read this. Take a moment to breathe and take it in you’re enough.
