When I look at an HTMA, there are three ratios that immediately show me someone is in a burnout pattern, often long before they ever say they feel burned out. Here’s what this pattern means: ➡ Ca/P – Elevated
This ratio reflects the nervous system, cellular energy, and how well the body is utilizing protein.
When Ca/P climbs, it tells me the system is overwhelmed, energy production is slowing, and the body has shifted into a more defensive, withdrawn state. 
This is one of the earliest signs the nervous system has been running in overdrive for too long. ➡ Ca/K – Elevated
Often called the “thyroid ratio,” but really it’s about cellular metabolism and stress load. 
A high Ca/K shows the body has downshifted to protect itself — a slowed metabolic rate that happens when chronic stress, under-recovery, or inflammation have been present for a while. ➡ Na/Mg – Depleted
This ratio is one of the clearest indicators of adrenal stress and burnout. 
When sodium drops relative to magnesium, the body is no longer operating from resilience…it’s operating from depletion. 
People in this pattern often say they’re “fine” or “just tired,” but the minerals tell the truth. When these three ratios show up together, it’s never about willpower. 
It’s not “pushing harder.”

Getting my HTMA test results and having it interpreted by a professional changed how I viewed my health. Before I did I an HTMA test done, I never focused on minerals in my diet. I never even thought about them. I thought as long as I was “eating clean”, exercising, drinking water, getting enough sleep, taking my supplements (random ones I thought I needed), drinking a greens powder, and doing things like meditation and journaling I would be good. But I was still struggling with random bloating (it’s not so random when you understand why), poor sleep (waking in the middle of the night most nights), low energy, break outs, slow growing hair and nails, bouts of anxiety/depression, and stubborn weight. Once I understood the role minerals have in the body and how crucial they are for your health, I started to focus on them daily and everything changed. Minerals are involved in just about every function in the human body such as digestive health, hormone health, metabolism, energy, sleep, health of hair + skin, liver function, and so much more. The HTMA test shows our mineral levels for the past 3 months and allows us to see indicators of adrenal and thyroid health, blood sugar regulation, digestive health, metabolic type, how we respond to stress, and more. One difference I’ve noticed in people with manganese toxicity, sometimes called “manganese madness” is that these people love to fight, they feed on physical altercations. When mom and I chatted about her son, her biggest complaint is his aggression towards his siblings and parents, specifically her. We ran his HTMA test and not to my surprise, he was dealing with a lot of imbalances. In fact, a study conducted on violent criminals found their hair samples to have elevated levels of manganese and other heavy metals. My son was just over a year old, and I was STRUGGLING.
