(And stop checking emails until the next work day!) ⚡Your first job is to keep work from bleeding into your home and personal time. 2️⃣ Make a list of what your job gives to you right now. 👉 I’m not talking about toxic positivity or “just be grateful you have a job”. I’m talking about the practical ways it’s supporting your life. —“It covers health insurance.” —“I get to use my brain and technical skills.” —“This keeps my family stable while I figure out what’s next.” ⚡️REMIND yourself of these often. 3️⃣ Look for moments in the day that feel a little bit better. 👉A client you genuinely helped. Here’s the simple step by step: Step 1: Put assets in the trust that you want to transfer smoothly Real estate, business interests, family LLCs, brokerage and investment accounts, private equity interests, notes and receivables, valuable personal property, holding companies, and trust owned IP. These are assets that can get stuck in court or mismanaged if they stay in your personal name. Step 2: Route life insurance payouts into the trust Naming the trust as beneficiary can keep proceeds controlled and distributed under your rules, not dumped into someone’s personal account. Step 3: Keep retirement accounts outside, but connect them to the plan 401(k)s, IRAs, Roth IRAs, HSAs usually should not be retitled into a living trust. They move by beneficiary forms. The key is making the beneficiary choices match your trust plan. Step 4: Keep income streams outside W-2 income and Social Security are not assets you retitle. They are payments.
