Resilience Over Centuries 🕉️🔥 History shows suppression, invasions, and pressure, yet identity endured. What survived wasn’t domination, but continuity of belief, culture, and civilizational memory. Empires rose and fell. Traditions adapted and remained. She claimed Bibles were printed before Islam... 🖨️🤔 In this discussion, we address the history of religious manuscripts. The printing press wasn't invented until centuries after the revelation of the Quran. We also discuss the Birmingham manuscript as evidence of the Quran's preservation. KABUL 1970 WHEN A CITY STILL BREATHEd FREELY In 1970, Kabul looked like a crossroads of cultures, not a battlefield. Wide boulevards. Universities alive with debate. Markets open and vibrant. Cafés filled with students, poets, and travelers. The capital of Afghanistan moved with confidence, not fear. Under Zahir Shah, the country experienced relative stability and gradual modernization. Women studied at Kabul University. Newspapers circulated. Foreign visitors walked the streets without armored convoys. The city felt connected to the world rather than sealed from it. Architecture reflected both tradition and openness. Mosques stood alongside cinemas. Tribal memory coexisted with reform. Kabul carried an identity that was layered but intact. It was Afghan without being isolated. Traditional without being frozen. Then history turned. The 1973 coup ended the monarchy. The 1978 Saur Revolution destabilized the state. In 1979, Soviet troops entered. Decades of conflict followed. Kabul in 1970 was not loud about its promise. It simply lived it. A capital with rhythm, dignity, and possibility before war rewrote the skyline. #Kabul1970 #AfghanistanHistory #history #LostEra #thenandnow

Race theory, Nile Valley civilization, Columbus history debate, Indigenous history, American education — this clip explores how historical narratives shape identity and why some scholars call race a social construct. In this video, we explore: • The idea of race as a social construct • Contributions of Nile Valley civilizations • Why “discovery” narratives are debated • Indigenous peoples in the Americas before 1492 • How education shapes cultural understanding Many historians argue that Christopher Columbus did not “discover” America since Indigenous nations were already living there. Conversations like this challenge traditional narratives and encourage deeper historical understanding. This is about examining history critically and expanding the conversation. #africanhistory #blackhistory #civilization #nilevalley #ancientegypt #christophercolumbus #history

Why was Chhatrapati Shivaji called a regional figure despite building a vast empire? - Anand ranganathan . Did you know that before Chhatrapati Shivaji, almost every Hindu king used Persian in their royal seals? Persian had become the administrative language of power. But Shivaji made a decisive shift — asserting cultural and political identity through change. Now fast forward to a modern controversy. When Aurangzeb Road in Delhi was renamed after Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, there was heavy debate. Around the same time, historian Ramachandra Guha (often referred to as Ram Guha in debates) wrote that no road in Delhi should be named after Chhatrapati Shivaji. He argued that Shivaji was essentially a “regional figure.” But here’s the historical question: How is the founder of the Maratha Empire — whose influence stretched from Peshawar to Plassey — considered merely regional? Shivaji didn’t just build a kingdom. He laid the foundation of an empire that reshaped Indian power structures after the Mughal dominance began weakening. His naval reforms, guerrilla warfare strategy, administrative systems, and assertion of Swarajya changed the political map of India. Even more interesting? At the time this article was written, there were already multiple roads in Delhi named after Shivaji — raising questions about fact-checking and narrative framing. The broader issue isn’t just about one road. It’s about how Indian history is interpreted, taught, and debated. . #IndianHistory #ChhatrapatiShivaji #MarathaEmpire #HistoryDebate #AnandRanganathan
