being able to share my art in a room full of glorious women in this system is an immense privilege and honor. thank you @ebellofla @lookatdominique @shananys @13ThingsLA a powerful juried exhibition celebrating the expansive, evolving vision of women in art. “A Woman’s Place: Framing the Future” envisions a woman’s place as an ever-expanding horizon—one that redefines the trajectory of our collective future. informed by memory, story, and lived experience, this exhibition explores how shifting perspectives on womanhood are documented, questioned, and celebrated through art. when i saw the open call, the theme spoke to why i created BADtameez beti collection in the first place. for the little girl that were the misfits, the bad daughters, the little girls who were told they should be seen not heard. a reclamation of taking up space colorfully in a world stripping us of agency and dignity. 📅 on view: march 19 – april 22 📍 the eBell of los angeles, 741 s lucerne blvd

It’s been a few days since the whirlwind of The Other Art Fair Los Angeles… and after a small bout of flu, jet lag, and a serious amount of sleep, I can officially confirm: I’m human again. 😅 Looking back now, the whole weekend feels a little surreal. 16 hours of travel ✈️ Stretching canvases Setting up the booth And wondering… how is this going to go? Then the doors opened and the appreciation for my work completely blew me away. But the biggest surprise? The incredible artists around me who quickly felt like family. The laughter, encouragement, and genuine joy for each other’s work reminded me why the art world can be such a beautiful place. @ashdaltstudio @jeannebeaudryartetyoga @leeseyrones @sarahjaclynschwartz our dance breaks were the best 😄 To everyone who stopped by my booth, spent time with the work, shared kind words, and especially to those who took home pieces of my art - a big thank you. You made me feel incredibly at home even while being thousands of miles away. Huge thanks to @lili_theotherartfair and @theotherartfair for such an amazing experience. And last but definitely not least, to my other half, my constant rock, thank you for supporting this wild artist journey every step of the way. Moments like this remind me why all the late nights in the studio, chaotic deadlines, and experimental paintings are worth it.
