COPlaying infield at the college level isn’t about making flashy plays.
It’s about standards.
How you move before the ball is hit.
How you control your feet and hands on routine plays. How quickly you process the game when the game speeds up.
You have to master the details that makes up all good infielders. Footwork, angles, rhythm, arm ability, decision-making..
Most infielders don’t need more drills. They need a better process.

MEWorking on getting comfortable with one hand when needed, even if the ball is coming straight in.
We were working on one hoppers straight in, glove side and backhand. A couple of the ones straight in were very close to eating her up. We were talking through that depending on the ball, it’s okay to react and go one hand to get closer to the ball. Going two can hinder your reach and the ball can get on you quick.
