But David remained in Jerusalem” - 2nd Samuel 11: 1 Most of us know the story. David saw Bathsheba bathing from the rooftop of the palace, and his spiral of sin began. But is it possible that the sin would have never happened if he was where he was supposed to be? Many of us come out of position simply because of fatigue, not realizing there’s protection in alignment. And when we come out of alignment we become vulnerable to temptation. So the encouragement is this: get back in position. Find yourself back at your post, and back at the altar. The altar will refresh your yes, and your position will protect you from the trick of the enemy! This came from our message “Sanctify me” that we shared on this past Sunday at @gatheringplacedc.
