SUIt is such a joy to see Djesse volume 4 fly freely in the world! From conception to birth, this family of songs has been on such a journey and such an incredible adventure.
@jacobcollier I am so very proud of you for enabling this final 1/4 of Djesse to become what it needed to be. I truly love the detail and nuance of each song, so expertly crafted and loved.
To realise that many ideas did not make it to the album has been a real lesson to me, as you helped me to realise just how important it is to let go of ideas to make space for new ones.
There is newness every time I listen, and colours in the orchestra that you have brought out so beautifully with @gomyben and @emilylazarlodge . It has been such a privilege to walk this journey with you, to conduct the amazing @metropoleorkest led by @thomasgouldvln and to end up being a part of the album launch last week.
The first photo is of Jacob aged 1, and the second one was taken at the end of the launch party - nothing much has changed…. we still love each other to bits!
