Getting older is a privilege. 💛 One I don't take lightly after a breast cancer diagnosis four years ago. I am grateful for every birthday, every laugh line, every morning I wake up here. But honestly… why do the jowls have to join the party too? 😄 This face has lived, loved and healed. Would you trade the wisdom if it meant a smoother jawline? I wouldn't... Growing older is not a flaw. It is a gift. ✨ 👇🏽Tell me. What part of ageing have you learned to make peace with? If you're younger - does anything worry you about getting older? 🤔 #AgingWell #LifeAfterCancer #BreastCancerSurvivor #HealthyAgeing #MidlifeWomen GratefulHeart LivingFully JuliaBradbury WisdomWithAge ThisIs50Plus

Let me be CLEAR 💥 TRIGGER WARNING If you’re the type of person who gets easily triggered by knowing the symptoms of cancer — stop reading now. Scroll on past. But if you’re the type who thrives on being informed — this is for you. My main symptom of cancer was something everyone dismissed as “normal.” I get hate for sharing my symptoms. But this is my story — my truth. And if sharing it helps even one woman catch her cancer early, it’s worth it. My MAIN (completely “normal”) symptom of cancer was: HEARTBURN. Here’s what made mine different: 🔥 It came out of nowhere — I never had heartburn before. 🔥 It was constant — all. the. time. That’s how ovarian cancer works. It’s subtle. It’s sneaky. And I know your anxiety wants there to be an easier way to detect it — but there isn’t. If you’re a fellow survivor, I want you to know you’re not alone — and you can take back control. Start here 👇🏻👇🏻 Cancer Freedom Program 💫 This is your chance to work with me directly. Personalized step by step plan to eliminate side effects and stay cancer free - for good. Click the link in my bio to apply now! This is the direct link to complete your 2 min application. Last chance - we are closing enrollment on Feb 27th. Surviving breast cancer doesn’t mean the bills stop 💸 It doesn’t mean the fear disappears 🫨 And it definitely doesn’t mean life just goes “back to normal” 🫠 This is survivorship, the part no one prepares you for 🌸 Still showing up. Still healing. Still paying the price 💪 If you’re in this season too, you’re not alone 💞🫶 Your story matters. Your strength is real🎗️🩷✨ #cancersucks

“Everyone claps when ‘active treatment’ ends. They say, ‘You beat cancer. You’re free. Now you can move on.’ But the reality? Life after cancer doesn’t come with a reset button. Survivorship means carrying invisible scars, the fear of recurrence, and a body and mind that don’t always feel like your own. Some days it feels like the world has moved on—but we’re still here, figuring out who we are now, living with scanxiety, fatigue, and the quiet ache of what was lost. Survivorship is messy. It’s courage and doubt living side by side. It’s strength woven with tenderness. It’s rebuilding a life you never asked to restart. To every cancer survivor who feels ‘behind’: you are not failing. You are healing. You are rewriting your story, and that is brave beyond words. 💛 👉 Save this for the hard days. 👉 Share this with someone who needs to know survivorship is a journey, not a finish line.” Thank you, @dani_trops, for sharing so openly about the realities of life after cancer. Survivorship, life after cancer, whatever you call it — it’s a huge part of cancer that often goes unacknowledged. 💗 #breastcancer #ayacancer #breastcancerawarenessmonth #lifeaftercancer #chemo #cancerrecovery #scanxiety #cancersupport #postcancerlife #cancercommunity #survivorstrong #cancerjourney #postcancer

There should really be a more socially acceptable answer for this phase of life. Like...“oh, you know… just figuring out how to live in a post-cancer body, rebuilding my energy from the ground up, navigating cancer survivorship, and processing everything treatment didn’t have time for.” But instead…“working a lot” feels easier. Just like saying “I’m fine.” because it takes too much energy to explain. But truly even when I have the energy, how do I explain that cancer doesn’t just end when treatment does? That survivorship comes with its own kind of weight. The fatigue, the brain fog, the identity shift, the moments where you don’t recognize yourself in the mirror. Some days it looks like productivity. Some days it looks like rest. Most days… it’s both. This is what life after cancer actually looks like. Not just surviving cancer but learning how to live again inside everything it changed. If you’re in this phase too, you’re not behind, you’re not doing it wrong, and you’re definitely not alone. What’s your go-to answer when people ask what you’ve been up to lately? #cancersurvivors #cancersurvivorship #lifeaftercancer #cancerjourney #cancerrecovery

I’m feeling introspective today, and a tad (maybe more) sad. My life has felt like one big medical question mark. So many diagnoses, so many moments of not trusting my own body… and then cancer—the one that changes everything. I’ve been “getting through things” for as long as I can remember. No, this isn’t a pity post. It’s not me asking for sympathy or trying to stack my struggles higher than anyone else’s. Far from it. It’s me being honest about what life after cancer and cancer survivorship actually feel like on the darker days. Because somewhere along the way, we started calling honesty a “pity party.” And I don’t agree with that. Your struggles are yours. They don’t need to be compared, minimized, or justified. They shape you in ways no one else can fully see—especially with invisible illness, autoimmune disease, and life after a cancer diagnosis. And you are allowed to hate it sometimes. You’re allowed to be angry. To feel the weight of it all. To say, “this sucks,” without someone trying to wrap it up in a pretty bow and tell you it “happened for a reason.” Maybe it did. Maybe it didn’t. But that doesn’t mean it didn’t hurt. I believe the only way through healing after cancer… through remission, through cancer fatigue, through survivorship… is to actually let yourself feel it. To let the rain fall. Because when you don’t, it doesn’t disappear. It builds until it spills out of you anyway, just not as gently. And when you finally let it come out… when you finally face it honestly… something shifts. Not everything. Not all at once. But a little. A little less weight sitting on your chest. A little more space to breathe. A reminder that even the smallest step forward, especially as a cancer survivor, is not small at all. It’s everything. You’re allowed to feel it. You’re allowed to NOT be strong today. You’re allowed to be in the middle of your healing journey and still have days where you hate all of it. That doesn’t take away from your strength. If anything… it’s part of it. 🖤 #cancersurvivors #lifeaftercancer #cancercommunity #cancersurvivorship #cancerwarrior

2024: The year that turned my world upside down and shook me to my core. While everyone’s out there sharing their highlight reels, I’ve been living through my realest reel yet. Breast cancer made 2024 the worst year of my life—but somehow, also the best. Through endless treatments, scans, and moments of pure exhaustion, I discovered me. The real me. The one who doesn’t have time for anything that doesn’t serve her anymore. I shed more than just my hair (my lashes and brows fell out AGAIN this December)—I shed parts of myself I didn’t need. Now, I’m stepping into 2025 with gratitude, hope, and the fire to live. Breast cancer will always be part of my story. I’ll be on some tough medications for the next seven years of my life and I’m choosing to take them because I want to savor the beauty of life—and let me tell you, there’s SO much to savor. 2025, I’m ready for you! I’ll be launching my beauty brand (more on that soon!) and praying this year is much gentler. Tonight, I’ll be eating my 12 grapes 🍇for good luck and dreaming big. There is so much more life to live after diagnosis. It’s a life full of new beginnings, self-love, and finding the beauty in the mess. #NewYearsEve #BreastCancerJourney #Manifesting2025 #GratefulHeart #SurvivorStrong #NewYearNewMe #LifeAfterCancer #SpiritualJourney #BeautyInTheStruggle #BreastCancer
