Day 1 of 50 doing these viral exercises! For some reason this one was uncomfortable to post, probably because I am not in the shape I’d like to be in, but there’s something cathartic about being authentic during this journey, and it’ll be fun to see my progress in a few weeks :) Tai chi and qigong are often recommended during cancer treatment / recovery. It’s gentle, low impact and combines breathwork, balance, mindfulness in a way that supports immune function, reduces fatigue, stress, and inflammation, and improves overall quality of life. I was inspired by @wildcard.wellness, as he said he’d do them every day! His daily posts are going to keep me accountable. First time was unsurprisingly tough as my body is still in recovery mode from surgery. I need a nap! Will update you all on how it’s going soon. 💜

Fun Cardio almost seems like an oxymoron, but believe it! 23 minutes on the treadmill that you’ll look forward to. If you’re like me, and aren’t the biggest fan of cardio, this is a great way to incorporate low impact, steady state cardio into your routine. Give it a try - max incline of 15 - speed between 1.4 - 2.5. - 45 seconds each exercise (and each side where applicable) - 15 seconds Walk between each exercise and 1 minute Walk between each round - 3 rounds (or more 💪)
