Rex Mason is an archeologist who became a metahuman superhero known as Metamorpho, capable of transmuting elements in his body into various forms. Mason was kept imprisoned in Lex Luthor's Pocket Universe, blackmailed by Luthor's kidnapping of his son, Joey. Luthor aimed to use Mason's transmutational powers to imitate the extra-terrestrial element Kryptonite and keep Superman imprisoned.
In retaliation, Luthor released an unstable rift that leaked out of the Pocket Universe portals to threaten Metropolis and lure out Superman. Terrific helped Superman defeat Luthor's henchmen and shut down the dimensional rift. With Luthor arrested after his conspiracy was exposed to the world, Terrific repaired the damage that Metropolis sustained during the battle. Rex Mason is an archeologist and devoted family man, deeply in love with his wife, Sapphire Stagg. During one expedition, Mason was exposed to a mysterious element that transformed his body and granted him transmutational powers. Despite his new and often monstrous appearance, Sapphire remained by his side, and the two eventually had a son named Joey Mason.
Superman is an upcoming American superhero film based on DC Comics featuring the eponymous character. Produced by DC Studios and to be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it will be the first film in the DCU and a reboot of the Superman film series. The film is written and directed by James Gunn and stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent / Superman.

Michael Holt is the CEO of Holt Industries, and one of the world's most brilliant inventors and tacticians who operates as a vigilante, Mister Terrific, using the T-Spheres to fight crime as a member of the Justice Gang, frequently working alongside the Kryptonian superhero Superman. After a battle against a Kaiju, Luthor exposed Superman's alleged mission to conquer Earth, turning the world and the Justice Gang against him. When Superman's girlfriend Lois Lane went to the Justice Gang for help to rescue Superman, they initially refused, but Holt went behind the rest of the team's backs and offered to help Lane on his own. They broke into Lex Luthor's Pocket Universe and assisted Superman's escape alongside Krypto, Metamorpho, and his son.
