LEI had the best mini cannoli I've ever had in my life! Let me tell you I'm not even a cannoli person. It was a perfect authentic Italian mini cannoli and I had it at Modern Pastry in Boston! Oh so sweet.
We tried both Mike's and Modern and Modern was the winner for me. Not only were they really nice but they also had a spot to sit and order coffee and desserts so you pass the big line. I'd do it all over again when I visit Boston! The funny thing is both bakeries are on the same street literally across each other so of course we had to try both. They are both amazing pastries shops and I recommend visiting both!

Still thinking about pastéis de nata from Lisbon… so finding Lisbonata in Crown Heights felt like a little full-circle moment. They make them extra custardy (not your typical egg tart), just like how it is in Portugal, and comes with six different flavors. A small treat that brought me right back to Portugal.
