AMHi everyone! I wanted to show you some of the ✨new✨ @frigidfluid Foundation Line cosmetics so you can see their consistency, how they blend, and how the setting spray truly keeps them locked in place! 🔒🖌️
In the video from left to right, it shows the Peony Pink (blush), Teak, & Ivory colors. I use a spatula from the metal instrument kit to first blend new colors from those shown onto the back of my hand - dark gloves are great for this! You can see they blend easily to create new tones you might find more fitting for a decedent. 👀
Next, I apply to my skin (yes, I know they’re the wrong foundation colors for myself but I did that so you can see the colors better), and blend out with the beauty blender. After spraying the setting spray and waving dry for a few minutes, I test it by rubbing the area with my gloves hand and no makeup comes off! 😁

During the embalming process, particularly when setting features and applying cosmetics it is a must that you take into consideration someone phenotypical traits. A phenotypic trait is an obvious, observable, and measurable trait; it is the expression of genes in an observable way.
When viewing the deceased funeral goers tend to focus most on the mouth and hands of the deceased? Because of this it is important that when closing the mouth, restoring and cosmetizing the lips of the deceased; embalmers are knowledgeable about how black decedents lips and other features (phenotypical traits) differ from others.
