Creatine is one of the most well studied and researched supplements on the market and yet, everyone is still very confused and hesitant to take it. In short, it is safe for everyone, even pregnant women, to take. It is not going to cause hair loss or kidney issues 🤦🏻‍♀️and the benefits are far beyond performance and aesthetics, it’s great for cognition, mood, and sleep 🧠 Creatine monohydrate is the variation you want. Check out the deets in this reel and also the article below for more details. So how do we dose creatine? 1) you can do a loading phase where you will take 15-20g per day (4 doses of 5g) for 3-7 days followed by 5g per day every day after. This can cause bloating and stomach upset so I recommend the second option ⬇️ 2) start with one 3-5g scoop every day and take it consistently over time. This is what I recommend. You do not “cycle” creatine, just take it continuously forever. Creatine also does not work like “pre-workout”, there’s no acute response like caffeine (high energy rush, tingles, etc) you have to build it up in your system and saturate your cells over time. Ideally taken post workout with a carb source but it’s more important to be consistent and remember to take it every day. I usually consume it first thing in the morning mixed with my Debloat and electrolytes in a huge glass of water (all from @promix ) 👍🏻 Use “LAUREN” for 15% off all Promix products. And no— creatine does not make you “gain weight”. creatine is an osmolyte, so it pulls water with it wherever it goes. This is amazing for your muscle cells, as it’s extremely hydrating. There can be slight water retention in the beginning but it’s minimal. We also get creatine from food— salmon, grass fed meats, and pork etc Hopefully this clears up some questions about it.
